Presenting our ECOMAI Consortium Member: Technical University Munich, Chair of Electronic Design Automation.
Being part of the department of computer engineering, Electronic Design Automation (EDA) works on design methodology from gate level up to system level. In the domain of virtual prototyping, the chair of EDA has vast experience with a long series of papers in top conferences and journals as well as a strong track record in collaboration with industry in national projects such as SANITAS, EffektiV, SAFE4I, Scale4Edge as well as ITEA3 project COMPACT.
The instruction set simulator ETISS of the chair is an open source tool already in evaluation for industrial use. In the domain of edge AI, the chair also shows a strong track record with papers and participation in project COMPACT and Scale4Edge.
PD Dr.-Ing. habil. Daniel Mueller-Gritschneder is Research Group Leader: Electronic System Level Design, Chair of Electronic Design Automation. Sustainability is his main motivation for our ECOMAI project:
“The future of AI is tiny. We are very curious to research new ideas in the ECOMAI project how tinyML can be used to reduce the energy of electrical motors with our partners. This can have big impact on sustainability in the future as electrical motors are used everywhere.”
